General Atomics Systems Integration, LLC (GA-SI) seeks a Trade Compliance Classification Supervisor to lead a team of analysts and apply EAR, ITAR, HTSUS and Schedule B rules. You will oversee classification accuracy and coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Legal to resolve complex regulatory questions.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive export compliance expertise, and the ability to document clear rationales for classifications while staying current with regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or related field with 9+ years in import/export compliance.
• Extensive export compliance knowledge and leadership skills.
• Ability to resolve complex problems and lead staff.
• Strong written English and the ability to prepare regulatory analyses.

Responsabilités

• Supervise the team of up to ten trade compliance classification analysts, scheduling and monitoring work assignments.
• Offer guidance and coaching to trade compliance team members.
• Determine and maintain export classifications (e.g., ECCN under the EAR, USML category under ITAR) for hardware, software, technical data, and services.
• Determine and maintain import classifications (e.g., HTS/Harmonized Tariff Schedule codes, Schedule B) for materials and products.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, bills of material, and product descriptions to understand technical characteristics and functionality.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, and Legal/Compliance to obtain necessary technical information for accurate classification.
• Document classification rationales and maintain classification records in company systems in accordance with internal procedures.
• Support internal audits, spot checks, and corrective actions related to classification accuracy.
• Monitor regulatory changes related to classification.
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on basic classification concepts and data requirements.
