Job summary

Lumentum is seeking an experienced Senior Export Control Operations Lead to support U.S. export operations and strengthen the company’s global export compliance framework. This role serves as the SME on U.S.

export controls, ensuring EAR/ITAR compliance and overseeing licensing, screening and deemed export controls for the Americas region. The ideal candidate has 12+ years of U.S. export control experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in international business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of U.S. export control experience with EAR, ITAR and U.S. sanctions.
• Hands-on experience with complex classification, licensing, screening and technology control.
• Strong analytical, judgment and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Export Control Classification and maintain ECCNs with auditable records.
• Manage export licensing, including TAAs and MLAs, and track license conditions.
• Conduct end-use, end-user, destination screening and sanctions checks.
• Oversee deemed export controls and develop Technology Control Plans.
• Support program improvements, audits, training and regulatory monitoring.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales, IT, and regulators.
