Lumentum is seeking an experienced Senior Export Control Operations Lead to support U.S. export operations and strengthen the company’s global export compliance framework. As part of the Americas Trade Operations Team within Lumentum Legal, this role serves as a primary SME on U.S.

export controls, ensuring compliance with the EAR, ITAR, and related regulatory requirements. The Senior Specialist leads classification, licensing, screening, end‑use and end‑user due diligence, and administers

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in international business, supply chain, engineering, or related.
12+ years of U.S. export control experience with the EAR, ITAR, and U.S. sanctions.
Hands-on experience with classification, licensing, screening, and technology control requirements.

Responsibilities

Determine export jurisdiction and classify hardware and tech under EAR/ITAR.
Prepare, submit, and manage export licenses, including TAAs and MLAs.
Conduct end‑use, end‑user, destination screening and sanctions checks.
Manage deemed export compliance and technology control plans.
Lead program management, monitoring, audits, and training on export controls.
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales, IT to integrate requirements.
Identify opportunities to automate and modernize compliance processes.
Represent Lumentum in external export control forums.
