Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Senior Designer, Environments, to shape physical brand experiences across retail, activations, and partnerships. This role emphasizes hands-on creation and collaboration with video, marketing, retail and facilities teams to deliver scalable, storytelling-driven spaces.

The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio in physical environments, expert 3D tools, and a keen eye for detail. You’ll work onsite 3–5 days a week and may travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in creative design, interior design, furniture, or experiential design.
• Strong portfolio showing work in physical environments and brand touchpoints.
• Proficiency in 3D spatial software and 2D design tools.
• Clear ability to explain design decisions to diverse partners.
• On-site presence required 3–5 days per week; travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead experiential design for physical spaces across retail, events, and brand partnerships.
• Hands-on creator driving projects from sketches to final execution.
• Collaborate with video, photography, marketing, retail, and facilities teams.
• Storytelling through color, materiality, texture, and spatial planning.
• Translate briefs into compelling spaces for pop-ups and flagship experiences.
• Select FF&E aligning with brand aesthetic and operations.
