Job summary

Pearson is seeking an Advanced Specialist, Experience Designer to own complex web and mobile experiences from discovery through launch. Initial focus on Credly Workforce, an enterprise solution for verified credential data, with opportunities to design AI-powered experiences.

You will partner with Product and Engineering to translate customer needs into design direction, conduct usability tests, and contribute to a shared design system while supporting Credly’s product family and the broader

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in product design, UX design, experience design, or related field.
Portfolio showing end-to-end ownership of complex web and mobile products with process, decisions, and outcomes.
Experience building products from ground up or reimagining existing experiences.
Experience designing workflow-based, multi-step digital products.
Experience partnering with Product and Engineering from discovery through delivery and post-launch evaluation.
Experience with Agile/Lean UX or iterative environments.
Experience with SaaS, B2C, enterprise, credentialing, learning, or workforce tech is helpful but not required.
Bachelor's degree welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end product design for complex web and mobile experiences, from discovery through prototypes, launch, and iteration.
Lead discovery with Product, conduct customer research, and translate insights into design direction.
Lead redesign of Credly Workforce and B2B/B2C solutions.
Conduct usability tests, interviews, and contextual inquiry; blend insights with analytics.
Design responsive, accessible experiences across devices, handling edge cases and errors.
Use prototypes and AI tools to test assumptions and accelerate exploration.
Contribute to a shared design system with components, patterns, and standards.
Collaborate with Engineering through handoff, reviews, and QA.
Communicate research and design rationale to tech teams and leadership to influence roadmap.
Collaborate with a small design team to raise design impact across Credly.
