As an Advanced Specialist, Experience Designer you will own complex web and mobile experiences from discovery through launch and measurement. Your initial focus will be reimagining Credly Workforce, an enterprise solution that helps organizations use trusted verified credential data to understand workforce skills. You will also support the Credly mobile experience, helping earners discover opportunities to upskill and take the next step in their careers, with opportunities to design AI-powered experiences across web and mobile.

You will partner with Product and Engineering to turn customer needs, research, and product data into clear design direction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own end-to-end product design for complex web and mobile experiences, from discovery through prototypes, launch, and iteration.
  • Partner with Product to lead discovery, conduct customer research, and translate insights into design direction.
  • Lead the redesign of Credly’s B2B solution (Workforce) and B2C solutions.
  • Conduct usability tests, interviews, and contextual inquiry, combining qualitative findings with analytics and experiment results to guide decisions.
  • Design responsive, accessible experiences across devices, accounting for edge cases, errors, and empty states.
  • Use prototypes and AI tools, including Claude and Microsoft Copilot, to test assumptions and accelerate exploration.
  • Contribute to developing a shared design system, including designing components, patterns, and standards.
  • Collaborate with Engineering through handoff, implementation review, and design quality assurance.
  • Communicate research and design rationale clearly to technical teams and product leadership, influencing roadmap and product decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with a small design team, contributing to design reviews and critiques, shaping ways of working, and advancing our shared goal of raising the impact of design across Credly.
Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong product thinking and end-to‑end ownership, connecting design decisions to customer needs, strategy, and measurable outcomes.
  • Expert in Figma for interface design, prototyping, design systems, and developer handoff across web and mobile.
  • Experience designing responsive products and applying iOS and Android patterns.
  • Hands‑on experience with usability testing, interviews, contextual inquiry, and testing tools such as UserTesting or similar platforms.
  • Comfort using product analytics platforms such as Pendo and quantitative signals to inform design.
  • Strong information architecture, journey mapping, interaction design, visual design, and systems‑thinking skills.
  • Experience using AI tools to speed up design workflows, from research synthesis to prototyping
  • Working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards and how to apply them in design
  • Clear communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence cross‑functional partners and roadmap decisions.
  • Confidence in challenging assumptions and using relevant data and evidence to support design decisions.
  • A flexible, collaborative approach to working with cross‑functional partners and fellow designers.
  • Ability to work independently, bring structure to ambiguous or open‑ended problems, and adapt to evolving priorities.
Important application requirement: All candidates must submit a portfolio together with their CV. Please make sure the portfolio is not password protected.
Qualifications (Education & Experience):
  • 7+ years of experience in product design, UX design, experience design, or a related discipline.
  • A portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end ownership of complex, shipped web and mobile products, including process, decisions, and measurable outcomes. Please include access instructions if password protected.
  • Experience building a product from the ground up or substantially reimagining an existing experience.
  • Experience partnering with Product and Engineering from discovery through delivery and post‑launch evaluation.
  • Experience conducting mixed‑method research and working in Agile, Lean UX, or similarly iterative environments.
