Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping leadership experience in a full-service hotel
• Experience managing housekeeping operations in a unionized hotel
• Knowledge of CBA provisions involving seniority, job classifications, scheduling, overtime, work assignments, and disciplinary procedures
• Ability to lead and develop a diverse housekeeping team
• Strong understanding of guest room cleaning standards, inspections, and room readiness
• Experience managing departmental budgets, payroll, inventory, and operating expenses
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee housekeeping functions including guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and back-of-house spaces
• Establish and maintain standards, procedures, and inspection processes
• Coordinate with Front Office to manage room status and with Engineering for maintenance
• Lead, coach, and develop housekeeping staff
• Develop and manage the departmental budget and payroll
• Ensure compliance with CBA provisions and labor relations
• Collaborate with hotel leadership to balance service standards with costs
• Support guest satisfaction and room readiness through proactive management
