Job summary

The YMCA of Middle Tennessee is hiring a Senior Executive Director for the Green Hills location. This exempt leadership role oversees operations, staff development, program quality, facilities, safety, budgeting, fundraising, and member service, guiding the center with energy, purpose, and care.

We seek a four-year degree holder with at least four years in an executive director role in YMCA settings, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in a related field.
• At least four years of experience in an executive director-level YMCA position.
• Strong leadership, communication, presentation, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to inspire teams and create a culture of service for members and staff.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Required certifications/training include CPR Pro with AED, First Aid, Emergency Oxygen, New Hire Orientation, Child Abuse Detection/Prevention, BBP, and Adult Mental Health First Aid within required timelines.
• YMCA Organizational Leader certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of multiple YMCA centers.
• Build relationships with community leaders, organizations, volunteers, members, and staff.
• Support fundraising, membership growth, program enrollment, and annual giving efforts.
• Develop and monitor operating budgets to meet goals.
• Recruit, train, evaluate, and support staff and volunteers.
• Ensure excellent member service and safe operations.
