Job summary

A Reputed Power Company seeks an Import/Logistics Specialist to manage liaison with banks, shipping lines, and authorities, ensuring timely LC processing and document handling. The role requires coordinating with various stakeholders for import activities.

Experience of 3–5 years and a Bachelor of Science in electrical & electronic engineering is preferred. This full-time position is based anywhere in Bangladesh with duties centered on back-office import operations and regulatory compliance.

• Experience: 3-5 years.
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE).
• Skills: back office operations, import logistics, customer liaison, client liaison, import/export operations, banking operations, customs brokerage, customs compliance, administrative tasks, customs documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain liaison with agencies, trade bodies, banks, shipping lines, C&F agents, transport agents, insurers, customs & VAT dept.
• Communicate with confirming bank for LC confirmations at competitive prices.
• Check proforma invoice terms; handle and process all kinds of LC issuing (Machinery, Deferred, UPAS, EDF & Back to Back).
• Check copies of shipping documents.
• Prepare bank guarantees and submit documents for endorsement; collect original shipping documents from bank on time.
• Monitor and supervise supplier bank payments and acceptances.
• Submit Bill of Entry to bank on time.
• Follow up and maintain commercial reports related to import activities and inform management as required.
• Any other job assignments by management.
