  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of international trade laws, Incoterms, and customs procedures.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor the movement of goods domestically and internationally.
  • Select transportation methods to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery.
  • Build and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics partners.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
  • Collaborate with customs brokers to facilitate smooth clearance processes.
  • Stay up-to-date on import/export regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping for audits and compliance.
  • Resolve issues related to delays, damages, or shipment discrepancies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Job description

The client islooking for a Logistics and Import/Export Specialist to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in import operations, particularly sea freight, and will be responsible for managing and overseeing the movement of goods internationally. This role ensures the timely delivery of goods while maintaining compliance with international trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Logistics Management:
    • Plan, coordinate, and monitor the movement of goods both domestically and internationally.
    • Select appropriate transportation methods to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery.
    • Build and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and other logistics partners.
  • Import/Export Operations:

    • Stay up-to-date on import/export regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.
    • Ensure accurate and thorough documentation and record-keeping for audits and compliance purposes.

    • Resolve issues related to delays, damages, or discrepancies in shipments.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
