Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is seeking an Executive Career Advisor in North America to support senior executives through career transitions, strengthen client and alumni relationships, and elevate BCG’s executive offerings.

The role combines high-touch advisory with market engagement, requiring credibility, discretion, and strong relationship-building across a matrixed organization. This is a hybrid position involving collaboration with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in executive search, executive coaching, executive/senior recruiting, or related leadership roles.
• Significant experience in Industrial Goods (manufacturing or automotive) is strongly preferred; candidates with Boards of Directors and/or Private Equity experience will also be considered.
• Strong understanding of executive hiring markets, including C-suite and board-level search dynamics.
• Experience assessing and positioning senior executive talent for complex roles.
• Established network of executive recruiters and/or corporate talent leaders preferred.
• Proven ability to operate with senior stakeholders in high-confidentiality environments.
• Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive career advisory to senior executives (C-suite, EVP, SVP, and Partner-level).
• Develop executive positioning and leadership narrative for clients.
• Advise on search strategy, networking approach, and opportunity targeting.
• Prepare candidates for executive interviews and onboarding processes.
• Collaborate with client teams and external search partners as needed.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior alumni and client executives.
• Develop market insights and surface relevant executive opportunities.
