TheExecutive Services Division is now accepting applications for Senior Executive Assistant – County Superintendent of Schools.
Under the direction of the County Superintendent of Schools, performs highly responsible and confidential secretarial and administrative assistant duties to relieve the Superintendent and Board of a variety of administrative details; interprets policies and regulations to officials, staff and the public; plans, coordinates and organizes assigned office activities, public relations and flow of communications and information for and as assigned by the County Superintendent.
The ideal candidate is an experienced professional who demonstrates the highest level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism in support of the County Superintendent and Board of Education. This individual excels in managing complex, sensitive, and high-priority projects, facilitating executive-level communication, and coordinating executive priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
They are proactive, solution-oriented, and adaptable, with the ability to anticipate needs, manage shifting priorities, and take initiative to ensure high-quality and timely support. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and is skilled in navigating the protocols of public agencies, governance processes, and stakeholder engagement.
This position is full-time, in-person and has a work year of 12 months / 261 days / 8 hours per day.

- Education :Graduation from high school supplemented by college-level course work in secretarial science or related field, AND
- Experience :Five years of increasingly responsible secretarial or administrative assistant experience involving frequent public contact.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURES- Assessments and interviews may take place virtually or in-person.
- Following the final filing date, the qualifications of all candidates will be evaluated.
- Themost qualified candidateswill be invited to participatein a written exam, tentatively scheduled forJune 24, 2025.
- Those who pass the written exam will be invited to participate in an in-basket exam, tentatively scheduled for July 1 , 2025.
- Those who pass the in-basket exam will be invited to participate in an oral examination with subject matter experts, tentatively scheduled for July 10 , 2025.
- Based on the oral examination of qualified candidates, Classified Personnel Services will establish an unranked candidate list.
- Selected candidates from the list will be invited to a second interview with the hiring authorities, tentatively scheduled for TBA.
