Job summary

Starr Adjustment Services, Inc. is seeking an Excess Claims Manager to handle complex claims throughout the United States. In this role, you will be responsible for coverage analysis, liability determinations, and negotiating settlements, attending both virtual and in-person meetings.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree, at least 7 years of excess claims handling experience, and exceptional negotiation and communication skills. This position offers opportunities for substantial professional growth within a rapidly expanding company.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in handling excess claims, especially with NY Labor Law.
• Must have a pro-active approach to claims management.
• Insurance adjuster licenses required when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Handle excess claims throughout the United States for Starr insureds.
• Attend mediations and settlement conferences to negotiate settlements.
• Interact with underwriters, actuaries, and reinsurers regarding claims.
