Job summary

Pearson is seeking an Advanced Specialist, Events in the United States to own critical event workstreams, from planning through delivery, including conferences, sponsorships and association programmes. You will coordinate internal teams and external partners to ensure high-quality experiences aligned with go-to-market objectives.

The role emphasizes stakeholder engagement, operational excellence and continuous improvement across a global events programme.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience independently managing complex business events.
• Strong project management including budgeting and scheduling.
• Experience coordinating vendors, agencies and sponsors.
• Proven ability to handle multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of event technology and attendee communications.

Responsibilities

• Lead Event Planning & Delivery: Own workstreams from planning through post-event follow-up.
• Manage sponsorship and association deliverables from planning through activation.
• Coordinate vendors, agencies, sponsors and external partners throughout the event lifecycle.
• Risk Management & Operational Excellence: identify risks and escalate where needed.
• Measurement & Continuous Improvement: analyze outcomes and suggest improvements.
• Knowledge Sharing & SME Support: coach juniors and share templates and best practices.
