Job summary

Pearson is seeking an Advanced Specialist, Events in the United States to lead critical event workstreams from planning to post-event follow-up. You will coordinate internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality experiences aligned with Pearson's commercial and brand goals.

The role focuses on evolving event programmes, improving tools and processes, and mentoring junior colleagues while ensuring scalable, measurable outcomes across global events.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience independently managing complex events, conferences, sponsorships or association programmes.
• Strong project management capability, including work planning, budget management, dependency tracking and stakeholder coordination.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities and the capacity to influence stakeholders without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned event workstreams from planning through post-event follow-up.
• Manage timelines, budgets, vendors, venues, registration activities and attendee communications.
• Translate objectives into clear event plans, milestones and success measures and coordinate across teams and partners.
• Support sponsorship, association programmes and promotional commitments throughout the lifecycle.
