Job summary

Pearson is seeking an Advanced Specialist, Events to independently own critical components of customer-facing events, conferences, sponsorships and association programmes that support Pearson's go-to-market priorities.

The role involves translating business objectives into high-quality event experiences, coordinating internal teams, external partners, vendors and sponsors, and ensuring successful delivery with a high degree of autonomy across multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience independently managing complex events, conferences, sponsorship programmes or association partnerships.
• Strong project management capabilities including work planning, budget management, dependency tracking and stakeholder coordination.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned event workstreams from planning through post-event follow-up.
• Manage timelines, budgets, vendors, venues, registration activities and attendee communications.
• Translate objectives into clear event plans, milestones and success metrics.
• Coordinate activities across internal teams and external partners to ensure readiness and delivery excellence.
• Support successful event execution while ensuring a high-quality attendee experience.
