Job summary

Pearson is seeking an Advanced Specialist, Events to own key event workstreams from planning to post-event follow-up. You will coordinate internal teams, external partners, sponsors and vendors to deliver high-quality experiences that align with Pearson's commercial and brand objectives.

As a subject matter expert, you will translate objectives into event plans, manage budgets, timelines and attendee communications while supporting scalability across a global events programme.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex events, conferences and sponsorships.
• Strong project management, budgeting and stakeholder coordination.
• Ability to translate objectives into event plans and measures of success.
• Experience with event technology and CRM systems (e.g., Cvent).

Responsibilities

• Own assigned event workstreams from planning through post-event follow-up.
• Manage timelines, budgets, vendors, venues, registrations and attendee communications.
• Translate marketing, commercial, audience and brand objectives into clear event plans and milestones.
• Coordinate activities across internal teams and external partners to ensure delivery excellence.
• Support sponsorship and association programmes from planning through activation.
• Capture outcomes and analyze performance to drive future improvements.
• Share templates, tools and best practices with junior colleagues.
