Job summary

Pearson is seeking an Advanced Specialist, Events to own critical components of customer-facing events, conferences, sponsorships and association programmes that support Pearson's go-to-market priorities. You will translate business objectives into high-quality experiences, coordinating internal teams, external partners and sponsors to ensure successful delivery.

• Strong project management and stakeholder coordination required.
• Experience with vendors, agencies, sponsors and external partners.
• Familiarity with event technology and registration systems.

Responsibilities

• Own event workstreams from planning through post-event follow-up.
• Manage timelines, budgets, vendors, venues, registration, attendee communications and materials.
• Translate objectives into event plans with milestones and success measures.
• Coordinate internal teams and external partners to ensure delivery excellence.
• Support high-quality attendee experience and ongoing improvement of events.
• Manage sponsorships and association programmes from planning through activation.
• Coordinate sponsor communications and promotional commitments.
• Support speaking opportunities and customer-facing activities.
• Ensure sponsor requirements are delivered accurately and professionally.
• Partner with Marketing, Sales, Product, Communications, Procurement and Finance.
• Coordinate vendors and sponsors throughout the event lifecycle and manage risks.
• Maintain accurate project plans, budgets, logs and trackers.
• Ensure event programmes are delivered consistently and professionally.
• Capture outcomes, engagement metrics and lessons learned.
• Analyze performance data and recommend improvements.
• Pilot new tools and ways of working to improve scalability.
• Contribute to Pearson's events capability evolution.
• Provide guidance to junior colleagues and share templates.
• Help improve consistency and capability across events.
• Serve as a trusted SME in event planning and delivery.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex events.
• Strong project management and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience delivering events from planning to post-event reporting.
