Job summary

Pearson is seeking an Advanced Specialist, Events to own critical components of customer-facing events, conferences, and sponsorship programmes. You will coordinate internal teams, external partners and sponsors to ensure high-quality experiences that align with Pearson's go-to-market priorities.

You will translate business objectives into event plans, manage budgets, and mentor junior colleagues while driving continuous improvement across a global events programme.

Qualifications

• Proven experience independently managing complex events, conferences, sponsorships or partnerships.
• Strong project management including planning, budget tracking and stakeholder coordination.
• Ability to translate objectives into actionable event plans and measures of success.
• Experience working with vendors, agencies and sponsors.

Responsibilities

• Lead event workstreams from planning through post-event follow-up.
• Manage timelines, budgets, vendors, venues and attendee communications.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure delivery excellence.
• Support sponsorship deliverables and association programmes from planning to activation.
• Capture outcomes and analyse data to improve future programmes.
