Job summary

Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando seeks an experienced Event Services Manager to lead the Event Setup and Event Services teams, ensuring flawless planning and execution of meetings, banquets, and special events.

You will collaborate with Event Planning, Culinary, Stewarding, Beverage, and other hotel departments to deliver memorable experiences, coach a diverse team, and drive top-notch service while maintaining Hyatt standards.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull a moderate amount of weight as required by the position.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, motivate, and support Event Setup and Event Services colleagues, including setup attendants, supervisors, captains, and servers.
• Oversee the timely preparation and setup of meetings, banquets, and special events while maintaining Hyatt service and operational standards.
• Review Banquet Event Orders and daily reports to ensure event details are communicated and executed accurately.
• Partner with Culinary, Stewarding, Event Planning, Event Services, and Beverage teams to coordinate successful events.
• Proactively evaluate staffing, equipment, and operational needs.
• Help drive exceptional Meeting Planner survey results through thoughtful planning, communication, and service.
• Bring creativity to meeting setups, décor, special events, and holiday functions.
• Conduct daily walkthroughs of function spaces, storerooms, and Event Services areas to help maintain cleanliness, organization, safety, and operational standards.
• Support hiring, training, development, coaching, and colleague engagement.
• Assist with administrative responsibilities including payroll, forecasting, reporting, inventory, point-of-sale procedures, and labor and Food & Beverage budgets.
• Support both short- and long-term banquet operations throughout front- and back-of-house areas.
