Job summary

Auro Hotels Management is seeking a Banquet Manager to lead banquet functions in line with brand standards in Orlando, Florida. You will supervise setup, execution and breakdown of events, coordinate with catering and kitchen teams, and ensure guest satisfaction throughout each function.

Responsibilities include managing budgets, setting departmental goals, maintaining records, and training staff on service standards, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Direct banquet functions in accordance with AURO Hotels brand standards.
• Ensure banquet setup, execution and breakdown; develop attractive table settings and coffee break setups.
• Operate department within budgetary guidelines and adapt to actual business conditions.
• Set goals for the department and communicate them to banquet associates.
• Develop and implement policies and controls on banquet operations (service standards, food handling, safety, sanitation).
• Prepare and tabulate banquet checks and maintain gratuity distribution records.
• Interact with guests, greet meeting/function planners, resolve complaints and report issues to the hotel chef.
• Maintain communication with Banquet staff; meet regularly and coordinate with other departments.
• Coordinate with Catering staff on events, cover counts and guest feedback; liaise between guests and hotel departments.
• Ensure adherence to regulations on service, handling and storage of alcoholic beverages; train staff to handle intoxicated guests.
• Supervise handling and storage of banquet furniture/equipment; schedule cleaning of rooms and service areas; manage supplies.
• Communicate with kitchen on cover counts and other food-related issues.
