Job summary

The SSA Group at Texas State Aquarium is seeking an experienced Event Sales Manager to drive venue and catering sales and grow revenue through memorable guest experiences.

You will develop client relationships, conduct site tours and tastings, negotiate contracts, and coordinate with operations to deliver flawless events. This role requires leadership, negotiation skills, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to sell the venue and catering services to new and returning clients.
• Conduct site tours and menu tastings to showcase event capabilities.
• Prepare and negotiate contracts and BEOs for events.
• Coordinate with Catering Operations and Culinary Team to ensure flawless events.
• Manage vendor relationships and budgeting to maximize profitability.
• Track sales performance and report trends to leadership.
• Lead and develop event sales team members.
