Georgia Aquarium is seeking a Coordinator, Event Sales & Services to support the Sales & Marketing team with planning, calendar management, and on-site event execution. You will coordinate details with catering, vendors, and volunteers to ensure flawless events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality or event management preferred.
• 1–2 years of event coordination experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and event software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple projects.
• Strong customer service and professional demeanor.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate event planning and logistics with the events team.
• Lead day-of event execution in collaboration with managers.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure successful events.
• Supervise internship program, resume review, and interviews.
• Recruit and manage volunteers; post and adjust monthly shifts.
• Maintain daily, weekly, monthly admin tasks and SOPs.
• Support training and development for part-time coordinators.
• Identify and troubleshoot event challenges.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, guests, vendors.
• Pursue ongoing professional development via eLearning courses.
• Assist with ad hoc tasks to meet department goals.
