Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a Senior Event Manager for the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia to oversee large conventions, exhibitions, and consumer shows, ensuring exceptional service from planning through execution.

You will supervise Event Managers and Coordinators, coordinate with contractors, communicate requirements clearly, and uphold PCC/ASM Global standards while working extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, facility management, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hospitality/customer service experience.
• Minimum 3 years event planning/production experience.
• CMP (Certified Meeting Planner) – preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervision of Event Managers and Event Coordinators.
• Meet with customers to plan and organize meetings and/or events.
• Coordinate activities with service contractors for assigned meetings and/or events.
• In the absence of the Director of Events, assign events to the event management team.
• Provide exceptional customer service, hospitality, and prompt attention to customers’ needs.
• Provide timely and accurate information necessary to produce the event.
• Manage multiple events and phases of event production.
• Act as key contact with the customer for communication and logistical requirements from planning through execution.
• Implement facility rules and procedures.
• Anticipate problems and provide appropriate solutions.
• Review and approve all event requirements prior to weekly staff meeting.
• Guide customers in preparation of events by interpreting contracts, policies, procedures.
• Inform customers of deadlines and logistics details.
