Job summary

Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, seeks an experienced Event Manager for the Greater Columbus Convention Center. You will support planning, organization, and management of events, coordinating with clients, staff, and service contractors to ensure flawless execution from contract through post-event wrap-up.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience in public facility management, promotion, or operation of conventions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Establishs and maintains contact with client upon assignment of an event.
• Serves as primary liaison between clients and facility departments.
• Maintain rapport with clients, their associates, service suppliers, and building staff ensuring the highest level of customer service.
• Meets with and guides clients to plan and organize assigned events and interprets, explains, and implements contract provisions, facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinates activities with various service contractors for assigned events.
• Keeps clients informed as to the status of deadline schedules, including floor plan submissions and event timelines.
• Secures/coordinates pertinent event information for effective use of the facility including room set-ups and equipment needs.
• Prepares cost estimates and monitors final billing.
• Participates in weekly production meetings to review upcoming event details.
