Elior Collegiate Dining is seeking a Catering Manager to join our team at West Virginia Wesleyan College. You’ll coordinate catering events, work with clients, culinary teams, and vendors to deliver outstanding service on-site.

The role emphasizes organization, customer focus, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. 1–2 years in catering or events, MS Office proficiency, and Safe Food Handler certification are valuable assets.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in catering, food and beverage, events or related field.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
• Safe Food Handler’s Certification (Nice to have)

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordination of catering events from start to finish, including logistics, setup, and teardown.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and customizing orders.
• Coordinate delivery and pickup schedules for catering orders, event rentals, and materials.
• Work with culinary and operations teams to ensure orders are prepared accurately and delivered on time.
• Maintain a master calendar of events and deadlines, attend pre-event meetings, and communicate details to stakeholders.
• Liaise with external vendors to arrange equipment, rentals, and services for events.
• Provide on-site assistance during events to ensure seamless execution and address last-minute issues.
• Manage catering supplies, equipment, and inventory for upcoming events.
• Ensure all foods and services meet company standards for quality and presentation.
