Job summary

Rivian in Kentucky is seeking a Sr. Remanufacturing Technician to disassemble and reassemble Rivian powertrain components returned from Service Centers.

You will record component condition during disassembly of EV propulsion systems and capture data to track reliability. Ideal candidates have automotive tech training and 2–4 years in technician roles, with knowledge of EV powertrains and high/low voltage systems.

Qualifications

• Automotive technology degree or certification required.
• 2–4 years as an Engineering Technician, Diagnostic Technician, or mechanical/electrical production experience.
• Understanding of mechanical power transmission and EV powertrains.
• Understanding of high and low voltage electrical circuits, including EV motors and HV batteries.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for technical analysis and initial triage of field return parts.
• Support remanufacturing processes, ramp, and future deployments.
• Perform technical analyses, document issues, prioritize and escalate to the appropriate assignee.
• Accurately and clearly communicate detailed steps taken to verify issues.
• Meet production goals.
• Support cross-functional teams to identify root causes.
• Perform tests and end-of-line tests – at all complexity levels.
• Support campaign and containment activities.
• Promote a safe and organized working environment.
