Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for Charging Systems to drive end-to-end MBSE-based definitions of high‑voltage charging features. You will work with cross-functional teams across product management, vehicle engineering, software and hardware to shape robust system architectures and verification plans.

The ideal candidate brings 4+ years in automotive systems engineering, deep MBSE experience, and strong knowledge of charging standards and ISO 26262.

Qualifications

• 4+ years delivering automotive systems engineering in production environments.
• 4+ years applying MBSE to drive design, analysis and development workflows.
• Deep knowledge of charging standards SAE J1772/J3400 and ISO 15118.
• Experience with Automotive embedded electronics development.
• Solid experience applying ISO 26262 to drive safety-driven design.
• Proven ability to manage multiple vehicle programs in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong data-driven problem solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with structured documentation and traceability.
• Self-driven with ownership and collaborative problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end requirements for charging features with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Shape charging system architectures using MBSE and cross-domain integration.
• Translate high-level concepts into subsystem and component requirements.
• Collaborate with Safety Engineers to develop Technical Safety Concepts using FMEA/FTA.
• Define comprehensive test strategies with Verification & Validation teams.
• Define performance requirements for HV system controls with HV/software teams.
• Contribute to product-level validation plans meeting performance and safety expectations.
• Investigate real-world charging issues and improve system performance.
• Coordinate lifecycle activities with program management to meet milestones.
• Champion continuous improvement of systems engineering practices.
