Job summary

Lucid is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer, Charging Systems, to advance high-voltage charging features and architectures. You will work with product, vehicle, software, and hardware teams to define MBSE-based requirements and ensure robust system performance for next-generation EV charging capabilities.

The role emphasizes cross-functional engagement, safety-driven design decisions, and delivering testable system concepts for fast-charge, battery health, and customer experience improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering automotive MBSE in production environments.
• Knowledge of vehicle charging standards SAE J1772/J3400 and ISO 15118.
• Experience with automotive embedded electronic product development.
• ISO 26262 driven design decisions and safety analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end capture and definition of requirements for charging features.
• Shape charging system architectures using MBSE across vehicle systems.
• Translate features into subsystem requirements for vehicle functionality.
• Collaborate with safety engineers on Technical Safety Concepts (FMEA/FTA).
• Develop test strategies with verification & validation teams.
