Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer, Charging Software Testing to advance HV charging systems. You will design and execute test plans for onboard chargers, maintain test benches, and perform electrical, thermal, and safety validations.

Work with cross-functional teams, operate HiL setups, and automate data logging and analysis with MATLAB, Python, and Canape. Strong documentation and test methodology skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar technical field.
• 5+ years of battery software testing or automotive embedded systems.
• Proficiency with Vector CANoe, CANape.
• Experience with HV battery software testing and PPE.
• MATLAB/Simulink for model-based verification.
• Knowledge of battery parameters: voltage, current, SOC, SOH, etc.
• Familiarity with CAN, LIN, RS-232, USB, Automotive Ethernet.
• Ability to design and build test benches and automate tests.
• Excellent documentation of test procedures and results.

Responsibilities

• QA testing to verify system functionality, reliability, and compliance.
• Develop and execute test plans for HV powertrain components (onboard chargers).
• Operate and maintain high-voltage test equipment and loads.
• Perform validation and safety testing (electrical, thermal, mechanical).
• Collaborate with engineers and vendors to define test methodologies.
• Support HiL/High Voltage Buck testing of charging system with automated test cases.
• Design, build, and maintain test benches for HV and LV systems.
• Automate data logging and analysis using Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, Canape.
• Troubleshoot test failures with cross-functional teams.
• Document test procedures, results, and design improvements.
