Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer, Charging Software Testing to support the development, validation, and verification of high-voltage (HV) and vehicle charging systems. This role involves designing and executing test plans for onboard chargers, high-voltage power electronics, and related vehicle charging components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
• 5+ years in battery software testing or automotive embedded systems.
• Experience with CANoe/CANape for testing and simulations.
• HV battery software testing experience and PPE awareness.
• Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink for model-based verification.
• Knowledge of battery parameters and automotive networks (CAN/LIN/USB).
• Ability to design test benches and integrate automation tools.
• Strong documentation skills for test planning and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct QA testing to verify system functionality, reliability, and compliance.
• Develop and execute test plans for HV powertrain components, including onboard chargers.
• Operate and maintain HV test equipment, power supplies, loads, and test setups.
• Perform validation and safety testing (electrical, thermal, mechanical).
• Collaborate with engineers and vendors to define test methodologies.
• Support HiL/High Voltage Buck testing and automate test cases.
• Design, build, and maintain test benches for HV and LV systems.
• Automate data logging and analysis using Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, Canape, Canaylzer.
• Troubleshoot test failures with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Document test procedures, results, and design improvements.
