Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking a Senior Estimator to operate with minimal oversight on preconstruction teams, and to serve as the primary point of contact with the design team and the owner. Senior estimators lead all project delivery methods and have strong competence in basic and advanced estimating functions for mechanical and electrical systems with minimal review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent combination of training and/or related experience.
• 10+ years of experience in an estimating role.
• LEED accreditation and DBIA certification preferred or willing to obtain.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Responsibilities

• Capably performs basic estimating functions including quantity takeoff, pricing for all trades, and abstracting.
• Develops conceptual estimates for review by senior personnel.
• Justifies and reconciles Sundt estimates with third-party consultants.
• Leads the preparation of estimating documents and deliverables (budget uploads, subcontracts, purchase orders, General Conditions, logistics).
• Performs advanced estimating tasks as the prime contact for hard bid pursuits and constructability reviews.
• Coordinates with operations to develop a reasonable plan (schedule, logistics, staffing).
• Provides cost and constructability feedback to the design team.
