Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking a Senior Estimator to operate with minimal oversight on preconstruction teams and serve as the principal contact with design teams and owners.

Candidates should have extensive estimating experience, the ability to lead various project delivery methods, and track record mentoring other estimators. Strong knowledge of cost for systems and logistics planning is essential.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of training and/or related experience.
• Ten or more years of experience in an estimating role.
• Ideal candidates will have LEED accreditation and DBIA certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Successful history as prime contact with minimal oversight for project teams.

Responsibilities

• Capably performs basic estimating functions including quantity takeoff and pricing development for all trade work.
• Develops conceptual estimates for review by senior personnel.
• Leads preparation of estimating documents and deliverables with minimal oversight.
• Performs advanced estimating tasks for bid pursuits and constructability reviews.
• Provides coordination with operations to ensure a reasonable plan for schedule, logistics, and staffing.
• Gives feedback to design team regarding cost and constructability.
