Job summary

Loenbro is seeking an Estimator III in the United States for complex pursuits up to $50 million and beyond. You will lead planning, integrate multiple work packages, and coordinate with clients, Operations, Procurement, and Business Development on scope and pricing.

The role requires extensive self‑perform estimating experience across mechanical, structural, and industrial construction, with the ability to mentor junior estimators and drive process improvements. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant construction estimating experience with mechanical, structural, and industrial construction.
• Advanced estimating capability for self‑perform estimates from conceptual through final bid stages.
• Experience self‑performing estimates for concrete structures, steel installation, piping and mechanical systems.
• Ability to lead planning, scope development, quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and cross‑functional coordination with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in labor productivity, pricing, indirect costs, and bid strategy.
• Ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications across multiple disciplines.
• Strong written, verbal, and mentoring skills for project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of complex pursuits (design-build, design‑assist, design‑build).
• Integrate multiple work packages, validate quantities and pricing, and direct quotation strategy.
• Lead risk, constructability, contingency, and value‑engineering analyses for pursuits.
• Direct bid leveling, scope reconciliation, and resolution of subcontractor gaps.
• Lead estimate reviews and perform peer QA/QC on moderate risk estimates.
• Coordinate with clients, Operations, Procurement, and Business Development on scope and pursuit strategy.
• Mentor junior estimators on pursuit tasks without department authority.
• Contribute to cost history, benchmarks, and process improvements; support lessons learned.
