Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead bid development for electrical construction projects. You will prepare detailed estimates from take-offs, review specifications, and coordinate with estimators, suppliers, and customers to create competitive bids.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering and minimum 4 years of estimating experience. Proficiency in Accubid, Livecount Cloud, Bluebeam, and CAD/3D tools is preferred.

Qualifications

Read and interpret blueprints or engineering drawings.
Perform arithmetic calculations for estimating.
Estimate diverse projects and coordinate group effort.
Mentor and assist Estimators.

Responsibilities

Prepare estimate from quantity take-off and complete the estimate for bid packages.
Identify key scope elements to ensure competitive estimates.
Review drawings, specs, and attend pre-bid meetings.
Evaluate opportunities for value engineering and cost savings.
Lead personnel preparing discipline sub-estimates for bids.
Maintain backup documents and Rosendin estimating program.
Develop labor costs and unit installation costs from site conditions.
Prepare material/equipment lists and obtain quotes.
Solicit quotes from qualified suppliers/subcontractors and review for conformance.
Provide bid package scope and pricing to Chief Estimator before formal bid.
Explain project scope during turnover to Project Management.
