Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead bid development and cost estimates for electrical construction projects.

You will work with estimators, suppliers, and customers to prepare comprehensive estimates and sub-estimates, and ensure timely submission of bid packages. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field and a minimum of four years’ estimating experience, with proficiency in Accubid, Livecount Cloud, and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to estimate scope.
Prepare estimates from quantity take-offs and bid documents.
Lead discipline sub-estimates and coordinate with team.

Responsibilities

Prepare estimate from quantity take-off for project bids.
Review proposals, drawings, and specs to determine scope and contents of estimates.
Identify key areas for competitive pricing and value engineering.
Provide leadership to personnel preparing sub-estimates.
Maintain backup documents and data for estimate figures.
Develop labor productivity and installation unit costs based on data.
Prepare detailed listing of materials and equipment and obtain quotes.
Solicit quotes from qualified suppliers/subcontractors and review for conformance.
Present scope, technical requirements, and pricing for bids to Chief Estimator.
Explain job scope during project turnover for successful transition.
