Genie Matthews and Associates seeks a Sr. Estimator (Mechanical/Civil/Structural) to lead cost estimation for large-scale EPC and design-build projects, with emphasis on piping and mechanical systems in Houston, TX.

The role covers multiple heavy-industrial sectors including data centers, chemicals, and petrochemicals. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of estimating experience, advanced Accubid/Excel skills, and the ability to interpret P&IDs and isometrics to develop accurate, competitive bids.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years estimating experience in industrial construction.
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural cost drivers.
• Proficiency with Trimble Accubid and Excel for pricing.

Responsabilités

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil, structural, and mechanical scopes focusing on piping and systems.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, and equipment pricing.
• Review drawings and specifications to ensure accurate estimates.
• Collaborate with project teams to validate assumptions and strategies.
• Develop pricing for lump sum, unit rate, and time-and-materials proposals.
• Create construction schedules in Microsoft Project and analyze bids.
