Job summary

Essenti Talent seeks a Sr. Estimator (Mechanical/Civil/Structural) for industrial EPC and data center projects in the Houston area. This onsite role focuses on accurate cost estimates for piping and mechanical systems across civil, structural, and MEP disciplines.

The successful candidate will leverage Trimble Accubid and Excel for takeoffs, pricing, and bid preparation, collaborating with engineering and construction teams. Minimal travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering, or 10 years of experience in lieu.
• 10+ years of estimating experience in industrial construction, especially mechanical/piping.
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural construction methods and cost drivers.
• Advanced proficiency with Trimble Accubid and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to read P&IDs, isometrics, and structural drawings.
• Experience supporting EPC or design-build delivery models.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil, structural, and mechanical scopes, focusing on piping and mechanical systems.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and price labor, materials, and equipment.
• Review drawings and specs to ensure complete estimates.
• Collaborate with project teams to validate assumptions and strategies.
• Develop pricing for lump sum, unit rate, and T&M proposals.
• Develop project schedules in Microsoft Project.
• Analyze subcontractor quotes and identify value-engineering opportunities.
• Maintain estimating databases and historical cost data.
