Confident Search Consultants is seeking a Senior Estimator (Mechanical/Civil/Structural) to support large-scale EPC and data center projects in the Houston region. The role emphasizes piping and mechanical systems with detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing using Trimble Accubid and Excel.

This onsite position requires a bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering or 10 years’ experience, 10+ years estimating in industrial construction, and minimal travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• 10+ years of estimating experience in industrial construction, with emphasis on mechanical/piping.
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural construction methods and cost drivers.
• Advanced proficiency with Trimble Accubid and Excel.
• Experience interpreting P&IDs, isometrics, and structural drawings.

Responsabilités

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil, structural, and mechanical scopes with emphasis on piping and mechanical systems.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, and equipment pricing using Trimble Accubid and Excel.
• Review drawings and specifications for accurate estimates.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, and construction teams to validate assumptions.
• Develop pricing for lump sum, unit rate, and time-and-materials proposals.
• Develop construction schedules in Microsoft Project.
• Analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for alignment with scope.
• Identify risks, exclusions, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Support bid reviews, estimate reconciliations, and post-bid handoffs.
• Maintain estimating databases and productivity benchmarks.
