Job summary

Saint Cyr Partners is seeking a Senior Estimator (Mechanical/Civil/Structural) to join our Houston-area team onsite. The role focuses on EPC and design-build projects with a strong emphasis on piping and mechanical systems for large-scale data centers and heavy industrial facilities.

You will develop detailed cost estimates, perform takeoffs, and analyze bids while collaborating with project teams to validate assumptions and drive value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or 10+ years practical experience in estimation.
• 10+ years of estimating experience in industrial construction, with emphasis on mechanical/piping scopes.
• Strong working knowledge of civil and structural construction methods and cost drivers.
• Advanced proficiency with Trimble Accubid and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil, structural, and mechanical construction scopes, with primary emphasis on piping and mechanical systems.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, and equipment pricing using Trimble Accubid and Microsoft Excel.
• Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents to ensure accurate estimates.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, and construction teams to validate assumptions and execution strategies.
• Develop pricing for lump sum, unit rate, and time-and-materials proposals.
• Develop construction schedules in Microsoft Project.
• Analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes, ensuring alignment with scope and estimating standards.
• Identify project risks, exclusions, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Support bid reviews, estimate reconciliations, and post-bid handoff meetings.
• Maintain estimating databases, historical cost data, and productivity benchmarks.
