Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a senior estimator to develop accurate and timely proposals for both private and public sector projects ranging from $50M to $100M. You will analyze data, review drawings, and present estimates to senior management to ensure competitive bids.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of estimating experience with prior management responsibility and strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and Estimating software. Travel to regional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or equivalent related work experience.
• 10+ years of estimating experience and prior management experience required.
• Proficiency with MS Office, AGTEK Take-off, Primavera Scheduling, and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate and timely proposals and estimates for private/public sector works from $50M to $100M.
• Review drawings, specs, and site conditions to finalize estimates.
• Lead bid reviews with senior management to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
• Analyze data to control labor, materials, and equipment costs.
• Develop and maintain relationships to grow regional bid opportunities.
• Supervise and mentor estimating staff to meet Granite standards.
