Job summary

Granite Construction seeks an experienced estimator to develop accurate proposals for private and public sector projects in the regional market. You will analyze drawings, specs, site conditions, and input from field operations to craft competitive bids.

Responsibilities include reviewing estimates with senior management, managing bid risks, and leveraging cost history to ensure timely, high-quality estimates. Strong communication and regional market development are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience.
• 7+ years of construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience; 4+ years estimating experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office, AGTEK Take-off and Primavera Scheduling software.
• Advanced knowledge of estimating software and civil/construction principles.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of agency (U)DBE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate and timely proposals and estimates for private and public sector works.
• Review drawings, specs, and site conditions and incorporate input from field operations.
• Analyze bid risks and strategies and participate in bid reviews with senior management.
• Analyze and compare take-off quantities; ensure data accuracy for estimates.
• Communicate estimate information to field operations at pre-construction meetings.
• Build and maintain relationships to increase bid opportunities in the regional market.
