Job summary

Veit Management, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator to coordinate a team of estimators and lead high‑complexity bids. You will partner with Senior Project Managers to streamline estimating processes, review bid packages, and ensure final QC before submission.

You will perform takeoffs, solicit subcontractor quotes, and manage client relationships while guiding the department toward improved efficiency and outcomes. Strong leadership and software proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 10 years’ bidding and estimating project experience.
• Proficiency with Construction Bidding and Project Management software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent communication skills across all management levels and with external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate estimating efforts of a team of estimators and guide higher-complexity bids.
• Review plans and specs to determine project scope and perform accurate takeoffs.
• Mentor junior project staff and lead estimating operations.
• Prepare and deliver bids to owners/GCs within required timeframes.
