Job summary

Blattner Company is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead procurement and estimating for gas-powered generation projects. The role requires coordinating bids, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and supporting new project awards through strong negotiation and presentations.

You will plan pre-bid estimates, develop preliminary schedules, and guide a team toward producing high-quality bids while maintaining cost discipline. Remote/traveling role with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Requires a four-year construction or engineering degree with 5–7 years of experience as an estimator, preferably in gas-powered generation.
• Knowledge of construction market dynamics, estimating strategies, cost control and proper scheduling of purchases/work.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts and cost coding systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement and estimating processes, coordinate bidding procedures and ensure bid accuracy and technical compliance.
• Secure project awards through negotiation and compelling presentations that differentiate the company.
• Plan estimates for pre-bid meetings and create preliminary project schedules during the estimate.
