Job summary

Blattner is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Gas Power Generation to drive advanced design, analysis, and technical oversight across projects. You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with owners and EOR teams, and ensure safe, economical, and code-compliant solutions.

You’ll lead design reviews, manage schedules and budgets, and promote Blattner best practices while traveling up to 25% to support various project phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited college or equivalent experience.
• Five+ years of progressive engineering and/or supervisory experience in related industry.
• PE license preferred with emphasis on mechanical engineering.
• Strong communication, organization, and scheduling skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and proposals with sound processes.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of time.

Responsibilities

• Lead across the engineering lifecycle with focus on schedule conformance and cost impact.
• Oversee design reviews to meet standards and Blattner best practices.
• Coordinate with Owners, EOR teams, ISC, estimating, and construction for milestones.
• Mentor Engineer I/II staff and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure designs comply with codes and project requirements.
