Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Senior Estimating Engineer in Denver to advance complex cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals. You will participate across the estimating process, coordinating with design teams and consultants, and presenting results to clients.

The role emphasizes collaboration, learning JE Dunn processes, and advancing toward Estimating Manager 1. Base salary ranges from $85,000 to $106,000 with eligibility for a performance bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field; equivalent relevant experience considered.
• 3+ years construction experience.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications; proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of construction estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Performs quantity survey of materials shown on project plans.
• Reads and outlines project specifications.
• Maintains an audit trail of the quantity survey from estimate to estimate.
• Supports vendor/subcontractor pricing/bid solicitation and coordination.
• Supports the distribution of plans and specifications to vendors/subcontractors.
• Works collaboratively and creates relationships with stakeholders (project team, subcontractors, vendors, clients).
• Gains self-perform estimating experience.
• Gains field operational exposure through onsite project support.
