Job summary

JE Dunn Construction seeks an experienced Estimating Manager 2 to lead complex cost estimates and bid processes for multiple projects. This role oversees quantity surveying, vendor pricing, and coordination with project teams to optimize profitability and risk management.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in estimating, with 8+ years in construction preferred, and strong software and drawing/specs proficiency to support preconstruction efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years estimating experience required; 8+ years construction experience preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office with emphasis on Excel.
• Ability to read drawings and project specifications.
• Knowledge of construction estimating software and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Performs quantity survey of materials shown on project plans.
• Reads and outlines project specifications.
• Maintains an audit trail of the quantity survey.
• Supports vendor/subcontractor pricing and bid solicitation.
• Develops and manages scopes of work for all trades.
• Collaborates with operations for constructability reviews.
• Leads cost history assembly and analysis.
