Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is looking for an Estimating Manager 1 to prepare cost estimates for competitive bids and develop efficient construction methods. The role involves collaboration with project teams and vendors, performing quantity surveys, and providing comprehensive deliverables for major estimates.

The ideal candidate should possess a relevant Bachelor's degree, have 3+ years of estimating experience, and demonstrate strong skills in collaboration and construction estimating software.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years estimating experience, preferred 5+ years in construction.
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds and willingness for occasional overnight travel.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for bids and negotiate proposals.
• Perform quantity surveys from project plans.
• Collaborate with team members and vendors on estimates.

Work accuracy and completeness

Intermediate communication skills

Effective presentation skills

Proficiency in MS Office, strong Excel skills

Ability to read specifications and drawings

Proficiency in construction estimating software

Knowledge of construction management means and methods
