Job summary

Vertiv Corporation seeks a Commercial Estimator to provide pre-sales technical expertise for Medium and Low Voltage Switchgear, Switchboards, Panelboards and Busway. You will support bids, analyze customer requirements, and collaborate with sales and engineering to meet specifications and optimize profitability.

Responsibilities include equipment selections, calculations, and using the Quote Configurator tool, while ensuring timely handover to project management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing tailored solutions based on requirements and RFPs.
• Perform equipment selections and technical calculations for Low Voltage Switchgear, Switchboards, Panelboards and Busway.
• Apply Quote Configurator tool to provide comprehensive quote support.
• Review custom service & solution orders and provide technical instruction through the order workflow.
• Maintain positive attitude toward targets and objectives regarding reliability, safety, quality, and productivity.
• Provide technical support to Sales and customers.
• Analyze customer specs and one-lines, apply product offerings, and propose alternatives to optimize profitability.
• Follow up on opportunities to confirm status (won, lost, abandoned).
• Update sales force with quotation information and assist with orders for handover to project manager.
• Participate in new product development projects.
