Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Senior Estimating Engineer to assist with complex cost estimates for bids and negotiated proposals, supporting the estimating process from plans to buyout. You will work closely with the design team and stakeholders to understand construction means and methods and help advance projects through design phases.

The role emphasizes coordination, vendor pricing analysis, and constructability reviews, with opportunities for field exposure and professional growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3+ years construction experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and may require overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Performs quantity survey of materials shown on project plans.
• Reads and outlines project specifications.
• Maintains an audit trail of the quantity survey from estimate to estimate.
• Supports vendor/subcontractor pricing/bid solicitation and coordination.
• Supports distribution of plans and specifications to vendors/subcontractors.
• Collaborates with project team members, subcontractors, vendors and clients.
• Gains field operational exposure through onsite project support.
